Want to film a customer testimonial video... but too afraid to ask?

There’s an untapped sales team who can credibly and pitch your product or service to potential clients.

Yep, they’re your existing customers.

Before you write this off as too hard or too awkward… hear me out.

Word of mouth recommendations or testimonials are the best way to convince someone to give you a try.

We did it.

Here’s how.

1. Choose the best clients to represent your brand: Is there a client who regularly gives you positive feedback? Consider whether the client and their story will be engaging on camera. List three, and plan to ask each one.

2. Pick up the phone! It’s much easier to say no in email than over the phone. Most people will be flattered to be asked to appear in a video. They may also be nervous and will likely have questions.

3. Anticipate likely questions: people are more likely to say yes if they’re clear on the process. Common questions will be: What’s the time commitment? Where will it appear? Will it be scripted? Can I see the final footage?

4. Make it easy: if it’s an interview, provide sample questions in advance and choose the timing and locations around their schedule.

5. What’s in it for them? Consider linking the video back to the client’s website, or offering in-kind services or a gift voucher for their efforts.
